Job Description: Senior Bookkeeper
Level: Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in accounting firm
Reports to: Director + Practice Manager UK
Office timing: 9 am to 5 pm UK time, Mon to Fri, Work from home
Salary range: Between Rs. 50,000 to Rs 70,000 based on experience and performance + Performance Bonus + 30 days holidays
Probation: 3 months
Job Description:
1. Must have solid understanding of debit/credit, bookkeeping and accounting standards.
2. Must have solid understanding of chart of accounts, general ledger (GL) and trial balance.
3. Must be able to record all sales & purchase invoices as per the GL code with no supervision.
4. Must be able to reconcile multiple bank accounts, credit cards and loan accounts and with no supervision.
5. Must be able to record year-end/month-end journals for wages, PAYE, fixed assets, depreciation, VAT etc with no supervision.
6. Must be able to complete VAT returns on standard, cash, flat rate basis with no supervision.
7. Must be able to review Trial Balance to ensure all Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss codes are fully reconciled and correct with no supervision.
8. Must be able to develop / draft process documentation for increased efficiency.
9. Must be able to understand figures and pick up significant movements/variance with no supervision.
10. Must be able to pick up planning or extra work order opportunities.
11. Anything else required as part of the role.
Software Skill Required?
You preferably be familiar with below listed software used by the company.
1. Xero (Most preferred)
2. Quickbooks Online
3. Moneysoft Payroll
What are we looking for?
You must have ALL below skills to qualify for an interview.
1. ACCA, CA/CA Inter qualified
2. 3 years’ experience in accounting/auditing firm only. No industry experience is valid.
3. UK client experience is beneficial not necessary. 100% of our clients are UK based.
4. Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
5. Able to work under pressure and deadlines. Self starter with the ability to plan, start and close the job with minimal supervision from the Directors.

1. Need to have a dedicated access to laptop or desktop computer.
2. Need to be available on WhatsApp & Skype for everyday communications.
3. Available to work from home with a dedicated suitable place.
