General Position Summary:
The Management Information System (MIS) Officer at SIF will support the organization's data management and analysis needs. This role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing the MIS infrastructure to facilitate efficient data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting. The MIS Officer will collaborate with project teams and MEAL to provide accurate information that informs decision-making, project monitoring, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage a centralized database for SIF Mission Pakistan projects.
- Collect and consolidate databases from all bases into report formats as required.
- Ensure data quality through cleaning and consolidation processes.
- Update and optimize the database according to project needs.
- Extract and present data in accessible formats.
- Manage databases in MS Access, Excel, and support MEAL Manager in data consolidation.
- Provide support for printing verification sheets and training attendance.
- Implement data protection policies and train staff on data safety.
- Assist MEAL in developing databases for assessments.
- Train project teams on new templates and databases.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in MIS or data management, preferably in the humanitarian sector.
Languages: Fluency in Urdu and English required; knowledge of Balochi is a plus.
Competencies: Strong cross-cultural communication, professionalism, and adherence to child protection principles.
