General Objective:
This role will be based in Bunner and Swat with frequent travel to different project locations with includes a responsibility to implement the SIF-funded project activities.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare an activity implementation plan and discuss the required resources to undertake the activity.
- Ensure community participation in the Early Recovery and Resilience for Flash Flood-Affected Communities project activities.
- Form / re-organize Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) male/female.
- Conduct Village mapping/profiling through different PRA tools (i.e. is BBCMs, Social Mapping Hazard Mapping, Disaster historical profile, problem tree, seasonal calendar conflict resolution wealth ranking, etc.
- Mobilize community and orient the communities in accordance with reducing locals’ vulnerability through climate change adaptation and disaster risk management project activities and the organization’s mandate.
- Work with community members to map the multi-hazards and prioritize community needs with a focus on disaster-resilient structure mitigation and climate change adaptation intervention.
- Identify and organize appropriate CBDRM, CERT, Agriculture capacity building, and technical resources to support project implementation.
- Ensure efficient and effective implementation of reducing local vulnerability through climate change adaptation and disaster risk management intervention, and related interventions at the community level.
- Mobilize the communities for CBDRM, CERT, Agriculture intervention.
- Mobiles the community for CBDRM, CERT, Agriculture training and linkages with other stakeholders.
- Write regular weekly, monthly, and other reports (as per suggestion and need).
- Facilitation and support in conducting the awareness sessions.
- Mobilize community groups, sensitize and train them on specific topics as required, and organize and facilitate meetings.
- Follow the Social Mobilization guidelines of SIF and implement them at the community level.
- Prepare daily field visit reports after commencing the visit to the field.
- Prepare and submit weekly progress reports well on time.
- Prepare any other reports when required/asked by the supervisor.
- Actively participate in staff meetings.
