These positions are related to the development of a complete low cost and scalable indoor Location Based Services (LBS) application being developed at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). This application is being developed for LUMS library and the project is funded by Ignite, National ICT R&D Fund. The main objective of this application is to automatically determine user location and provide navigation to the desired book shelf along with several other useful location based services.
The project is entering its final phase and we are looking for dynamic candidates who can quickly become part of the existing team. The main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Improvements in POI databases, books database
- Improvements in the localization, navigation, and processing algorithms
- Improvements in the development of android GUI for LBS application
- Stand-alone software tools for the implementation of various modules
- Report writing
Note: Selected candidate will work with a team of developers and researchers at LUMS.
