An international Non-Governmental Organization working in Pakistan on the areas of Child well-being and Community Development in Different areas of Pakistan intends to hire Self Help Group Approach Coordinator for its office in Islamabad. The role of SHG Coordinator lies mainly on the operational level. The SHG coordinator level predominantly trains partner organizations in the field and monitors the implementation of developed Self Help Approach principles, modules, formats, tools etc. 

Main Tasks:

·         Support the management in the development and implementation of the Country Strategy in all dimensions (e.g. CRSA, administration and logistics)

·         Support the management in the development of the Self Help Approach by analyzing available information and by identifying issues

·         Orient existing and potential partners on SHA Approach

·         Monitor SHA partners and projects according to standards, using standard formats and tools conduct regular visits to the partner’s organizations in all target areas of SHA

·         Identification of opportunities to promote SHA on different occasions 

·         Organize trainings on the basic principal and methodology (PRA) on SHA Approach and provide inputs for trainings organized by partners in SHA program  

·         Facilitate partners in organization of exposure visits for SHGs, facilitators and project officers within SHA partners and to other organizations in the framework of SHA

·         Facilitate SHG Manger in organizing forum/meetings for partner organizations

·         Facilitate in preparing partner organizations for lobbying and advocacy

·         Prepare training materials and you will be required to undertake some logistics responsibilities as well, whenever and wherever required.

·         Provide capacity building and support to partners, organize sensitization programs/meetings as need arises in respective areas of SHA, mainly in SHA but also in other areas relevant to the Country Strategy

·         Report in line with organization standards and formats. Analyze and comment reports from partners, give feedback/recommendations, and follow up on those

·         Give technical feedback to the partner organizations on project proposal in line with SHA approach

·         Further tasks that are delegated by the Country Management in accordance with the ICC Handbook

·         The Coordinator reports to the Self Help Group Manager

·         Prepare monthly and quarterly reports to the SHG Manager and Pakistan Office

·         Report expense to Pakistan Office verified by SHG Manager on monthly basis

Important Note:

·         The job description is subject to any refinement as need arises.

·         You may be required to work on other assignments as per the need of the organization.

·         The position requires frequent travelling to project areas in Sindh primary and other provinces on need basis, also to countries other than the home country.

·         Proficiency in Urdu and English, both verbal and written. Desirable to have proficiency in Sindhi Language as well (written and spoken).

·         Willing to work extended and non-traditional hours

·         Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

·       Good relationship management skills with ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural teams

·       Proven record of no involvement in physical, sexual exploitation and child abuse in the previous work experiences.

·        Good writing and documentation skills
