We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional to join our team based in Lahore Gulberg Colony. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of financial and compliance-related tasks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable laws and regulations. This full-time position demands strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to efficiently handle multiple financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance:
Keep up-to-date with local and national compliance requirements, including tax laws, EOBI, Deeds, PESSI, and other relevant regulations. Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation to ensure the company’s compliance with these standards.

Taxation Management:
Handle all tax-related matters such as income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes. Coordinate with external tax consultants or authorities to guarantee accurate and timely tax submissions and payments. Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and update financial processes accordingly.

PF/EOBI/PESSI and Related Contributions:
Manage the company’s EOBI and Provident Fund contributions, including employee enrollments and ongoing payments. Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and respond to employee inquiries regarding EOBI benefits.

Double Entry Accounting:
Maintain accurate double-entry bookkeeping to record all financial transactions, ensuring balanced books. Reconcile ledger accounts and financial statements, investigate discrepancies, and correct errors promptly.

Lease Management:
Oversee lease agreements by tracking obligations and payments. Ensure lease renewals or terminations are processed accurately and on time.

Financial Records and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive financial records, including ledgers, financial statements, and expense reports. Generate financial reports to provide clear insights into the organization’s financial status.

Accounts Payable Management:
Review and process incoming invoices, verifying accuracy and proper authorization. Prepare and execute payment schedules for vendors, utility bills, and other financial obligations. Reconcile accounts payable with financial records and resolve discrepancies swiftly.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of proven experience in accounting and financial management, focusing on accounts payable, taxation, EOBI, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

- Professional accounting qualification or certification is an advantage.
- Experience with lease management is beneficial.
- Candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Lahore Gulberg Colony before starting work.
- This is an in-person role.
