Aga Khan University’s Clinical and Translational Research Incubator (CITRIC) at the Medical College is inviting applications for the position of Senior Assistant to support the Centre for Patient Safety (CPS). CITRIC acts as a centralized platform promoting clinical and translational research projects that secure significant national and international funding while addressing local health priorities. The CPS is a multidisciplinary center focused on enhancing patient care by investigating medical errors, advancing systemic patient safety, and developing preventive strategies to reduce patient harm, especially in developing countries. The Senior Assistant will be instrumental in facilitating the center’s administrative, academic, and research functions, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within this impactful organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day administrative operations of the Centre for Patient Safety to ensure seamless functioning.
- Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the center’s leadership and staff.
- Coordinate academic and capacity-building activities by organizing venues, audiovisual equipment, and logistical arrangements for all events.
- Maintain and organize files and departmental records to guarantee proper documentation and easy access to information.
- Assist with administrative duties related to research projects, including data management and compilation.
- Oversee the issuance, maintenance, and tracking of equipment such as laptops, desktops, printers, and tablets assigned to CPS employees.
- Arrange travel logistics for CPS staff members as required.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the center’s overall operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is mandatory; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience in a reputable organization related to the field.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, especially MS Office and Excel.
- Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
