Senior Estimation Engineer – GC Team Lead (US Estimation)

We are looking for a skilled Estimation Team Lead to manage and guide a team of estimators working on General Contractor projects within the US market. The successful candidate will oversee estimation activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance with US standards, and timely delivery of high-quality bid packages. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise in construction estimation, and effective collaboration with project stakeholders. The position is based in Rawalpindi and requires in-person attendance, with preference given to candidates who can reliably commute or relocate.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of estimators supporting General Contractor projects in the US market. Assign tasks efficiently, monitor team performance, and ensure deadlines are met. Provide training and mentorship to junior estimators on estimation tools, US construction standards, and project workflows. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid packages for design-bid-build and design-build projects. Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify project scope, risks, and opportunities. Develop cost models and budgets through conceptual, schematic, and detailed design phases. Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations for completeness and compliance. Conduct value engineering analyses to recommend cost-effective alternatives. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients during preconstruction phases. Coordinate with US-based estimation teams and project managers to ensure alignment on pricing strategies and methodologies. Support business development by providing cost insights and contributing to bid strategies. Maintain estimation accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company and client standards. Implement and optimize estimation software tools such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, RSMeans, PlanSwift, or CostX. Keep cost databases, productivity rates, and historical cost records updated to support efficient estimation processes.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required. Candidates should have 3 to 8 years of experience in construction estimation, including at least 1.5 years in a team lead or senior estimator role. Proven experience estimating commercial, residential, institutional, or industrial construction projects specifically for the US market is mandatory. Proficiency in estimation software such as Bluebeam and PlanSwift or similar tools is essential. A strong understanding of CSI divisions, construction assemblies, and trade-level cost structures is required. Excellent knowledge of US building codes, standards, and construction practices is necessary. Advanced Excel skills are expected. Experience with BIM-based estimation software like Revit or Navisworks is preferred. Strong analytical and numerical abilities with keen attention to detail are critical. Excellent leadership, communication, and client coordination skills are essential. The ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines with a proactive, organized, and collaborative approach is required.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
