Within this context, Careem Pay is looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join its Strategic Finance team. This role combines financial expertise, analytical rigor, and strong technical skills—particularly in SQL—to support strategic decision-making and enhance business performance in Careem’s fintech ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic finance projects by developing detailed financial models, forecasts, and performance analyses that inform leadership decisions.
- Work closely with product, growth, and operations teams to identify key business drivers, assess financial outcomes, and deliver actionable insights.
- Create, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data for daily operations and management reporting.
- Prepare monthly performance reviews, management presentations, and contribute to annual and long-term financial planning processes.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial and operational systems.
- Gain a deep understanding of profit and loss drivers, financial metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or business partnering, ideally within fintech, payments, or digital services sectors.
- Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to independently write, optimize, and debug complex queries.
- Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets and financial modeling; familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.
- Excellent business judgment, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with fintech or payments products.
- Knowledge of data-driven financial reporting, automation tools, or financial data pipelines.
- A passion for integrating finance and data to communicate clear, actionable business insights.
