Senior FP&A Analyst

The Senior FP&A Analyst role within Careem Pay presents an exciting opportunity to blend financial expertise, analytical rigor, and technical skills to influence strategic decisions in the fintech space.

Key Responsibilities
Drive strategic finance initiatives by developing robust financial models, forecasts, and performance analyses that support leadership in decision-making. Collaborate closely with product, growth, and operations teams to identify key business drivers, assess financial performance, and deliver actionable insights. Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data critical for daily operations and management reporting. Prepare monthly performance reviews and management presentations, while contributing to annual and long-term financial planning cycles. Maintain data integrity and consistency across financial and operational systems. Develop a deep understanding of profit and loss drivers, financial metrics, and business KPIs to support comprehensive financial analysis.

Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline is essential. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or business partnering, ideally within fintech, payments, or digital services sectors. Strong proficiency in SQL is required, with the ability to independently write, optimize, and debug complex queries. Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets and financial modeling are necessary, and experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI is highly advantageous. Excellent business judgment, an analytical mindset, and strong stakeholder management skills are critical. Experience working with fintech or payment products is preferred, alongside familiarity with data-driven financial reporting, automation tools, or financial data pipelines. A passion for integrating finance and data to produce clear, actionable insights is important for success in this role.
