The Senior FP&A Analyst role within Careem Pay offers a unique opportunity to blend financial expertise, analytical skills, and technical knowledge to influence strategic decisions in Careem’s fintech ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic finance initiatives by creating detailed financial models, forecasts, and performance analyses that support leadership in decision-making.
- Work closely with product, growth, and operations teams to identify key business drivers, assess financial performance, and provide actionable insights.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data for daily operations and management reporting.
- Prepare monthly performance reviews and management presentations, while contributing to annual and long-term financial planning processes.
- Maintain data integrity and consistency across financial and operational systems.
- Gain a thorough understanding of profit and loss (P&L) drivers, financial metrics, and key business performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), strategic finance, or business partnering, ideally within fintech, payments, or digital services sectors.
- Strong command of SQL, with the ability to independently write, optimize, and debug queries.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and financial modeling; familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.
- Excellent business judgment, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with fintech or payments products.
- Knowledge of data-driven financial reporting, automation tools, or financial data pipelines.
- A passion for combining finance and data to create clear, actionable narratives.
