The following are the main responsibilities that the role holder will be accountable for:

This is a tentative advertisement. All the positions are subject to donor’s and NOC approval, no. of vacancies may increase or decrease as per need.

  •    Liaison, coordination & communication with multiple stakeholders, government (District Administration ,concerned line Departments) , LEAs ,PDMA, NNGOs , INGOs ,  Directorate of Agriculture, Directorate of Culture ,Sports and Tourism KP, Foreign Aid P & D  NoC section ,DRC & ADR ( Alternate Dispute Resolution committees) at field level etc.
  •         Close coordination with government elected representatives, religious leaders, social activists, District Sport officer, Youth leaders, and Jirga leaders etc. and involve them in social cohesion, peace building and conflict management activities.
  •       Regular coordination at field level with district administration (AC, AAC, District Police Officer, Tehsildars, multiple army wings etc.) & other relevant stakeholders for the nomination of training participants for multiple trainings at district level and outside district.
  •    Working in close coordination with Program Coordinator KP, APM, Supply chain, Finance, HR & MEAL team to ensure routine project related activities are executed & monthly, quarterly and final reports are submitted timely.
  •   Ensure regular participation with competent authorities’ weekly, emergency, Kuli Kachehri. & monthly progress review meetings.
  •    Participation in regular joint field visits with District administration, Donor, Directorate of monitoring team KP and District monitoring team. 
  •   Develop project business processes (Procurement, Visibility & Communication, HR, M&E plan), detail implementation plan and Activity based Costing (ABC) with the consultation of team and donor requirements.
  •     Endorse monthly progress reports from District Administration and   shared with ADC & ACS for evidence.
  •    Conceptual clarity on social cohesion, peace building and conflict resolution and management and implemented similar nature of projects in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa/ Pakistan.
  •    Regular coordination with Universities working on social cohesion, peace building, conflict resolution and management and incorporate their inputs during project implementation phase.
  •        Facilitate consultant in multiple manual development according to the culture norms and values.
  •     Ensure project meets expectations with respect to quality, budget,  delivery timelines and strategy.
  •        Close liaise with the local Sr.Supply chain officer to ensure compliance with organization’s security Guidelines and their effective application in the local context.
  •       Timely raise PRs and event forms for multiple project activities.
  •      Conduct monthly BVA meetings and address on spot under spending and overspending budget line with the consultation of Finance department.
  •      Timely submission of project NOC extension document according to the approved checklist to government competent authorities with the consultation of liaison and coordination officer at Area office Peshawar.
  •      Facilitate liaison and coordination officer during project stakeholders meeting and report endorsement.
  •  Document project challenges, mitigation, lesson learned, recommendation and share with management to timely communicate with donor.
  •      Review all reports generated by MEAL team and further share with AO management.
  •     Conduct regular field visits with 40% time in field, 40% for coordination with stakeholders and 20% for reporting.
  •      Review of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and share with area office management.
  •         Any other tasks assigned by management.

General Management and Leadership

  •         Ensure member and mission from organization are fully briefed on all aspects of security, social and cultural norms and local conditions and behaviour;
  •         Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with  District Administration other NGO’s,  provincial and local government elected representatives , bilateral and multilateral donors, and other principle stakeholders including the military where present;
  •         Create the conditions to ensure effective teamwork and morale.
  •    Ensure all project staff understand and carry out their duties in accordance with humanitarian principles, core values, organization’s International Code and SPHERE.
  •       Conduct performance appraisals of project staff and ensure regular feedback and mentoring on individual performance;
  •     Ensure the Area Management and are kept informed about assessment progress, emergency response implementation and strategies, project plans, progress reports, and other significant developments.

Public Relations / Media

  •   Support the PR/Media team in the development of constructive working relationships with media representatives to build international and public profile and ensure positive coverage and the timely provision of situation reports and fundraising material to organization.

Safety and Security

  •         Liaise with the local Sr. supply chain officer to ensure compliance with organization’s Security Guidelines and their effective application in the local context;
  •         Monitor the operational environment with respect to increased level of threat and advise the District Coordinator and organization’s Security Officer/Security Focal person.
  •      Follow the appropriate communications means to meet operational and security requirements;

Administration

  •   Ensure that administrative support functions are supported in accordance with organization’s administrative policies and procedures;
  •    Ensure compliance with country legal, contractual, labour and statutory requirements.

Financial Management and Planning

  •  Ensure with the Finance department, the maintenance of organization’s financial protocols and accounting systems for all field interventions.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

 It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its SEAH (sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. We have zero tolerance policy towards SEAH and doesn’t support any action that promote or encourage SEAH.

Language:

  • Pashto, Urdu, English dialect will be an additional asset.
