Senior Site Reliability Engineer II

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer II (L10) position within the Storage & Infrastructure team plays a critical role in designing, scaling, and automating core data services that support both traditional applications and AI workloads.

Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, scale, and maintain cloud-native data systems on AWS to ensure high availability and performance.
- Automate storage operations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Pulumi to streamline deployments and updates.
- Support AI infrastructure components, including vector databases like Milvus, Weaviate, or Pinecone, enabling efficient data retrieval for machine learning models.
- Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers and platform teams to build and maintain services powered by large language models (LLMs).
- Monitor and optimize system performance using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead post-incident analysis to maintain operational excellence and minimize downtime.
- Design secure, scalable, cost-effective, and AI-ready infrastructure environments that adapt to evolving business requirements.

Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience managing distributed systems at scale, demonstrating strong operational expertise.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Bash for automation and tooling development.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, with a preference for AWS environments.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Familiarity with distributed systems technologies like Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with AI infrastructure components, including vector stores and model serving frameworks such as Ray, LangChain, or LlamaIndex, is highly desirable.
- A strong curiosity and willingness to learn about integrating infrastructure with AI agents and LLM-based applications.
