- Make comparison reports before purchasing
- Responsible for procurement of supplies accessories.
- Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase orders
- Perform record maintenance.
- Negotiate and recommend execution of contracts for the purchase of supplies, service and equipment.
- Act to procure for the city the needed quality in supplies, service and equipment at least expense to the city.
- Discourage uniform biding and endeavor to obtain as full and open competition as possible on all purchases.
- Keep informed of current development in field of purchasing, price, market conditions and new products.
- Supervise the inspection of all supplies, service and equipment purchase to insure conformance with specifications:
- Recommend to the manager the transfer of surplus or unused supplies and equipment between departments and using agencies, as needed, and the sale of all supplies and equipment suitable for city use.
- Work with concern department to maintain stock levels.
- To make sure timely arrangement of all supplies
