INTRODUCTION

Shifa Foundation is national-level welfare and humanitarian organization that assists deprived communities in terms of healthcare/ treatment services, health awareness, food assistance, and clean drinking water supply. Shifa Foundation remains in contact with its stakeholders to identify underprivileged communities and to meet their urgent as well as long-term needs by engaging donors.

Healthcare is one of the flagships programs of Shifa Foundation and it’s been providing quality health services across the country, in collaboration with international donors and government health departments, to promote health and eliminate diseases

OBJECTIVES

• Fundraising Opportunities to cater to the populations Healthcare needs and contribute to the overall objectives of SF.

 PROJECT DESCRIPTION

• Identification and Evaluation of children with congenital defects and disorders like Cleft Palate, Cataract and Autism, with key informant interviews and data collection.
• Awareness and Advocacy campaigns for Malnourished, Cataract and cleft palate among relevant Stakeholders and Donors
• Development of Marketing and promotional strategies
• Fundraising and development of Affiliate Support system

 SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The technical services of Individual Consultant are required for the fund-raising campaigns for the three important medical conditions namely:

• Malnourishment
• Congenital and Developmental Cataract
• Cleft Palate

1. The consultant would be required to do field visits during the project and Liaison and engage with beneficiaries. This will help to develop best human-interest stories.
2. Consultant would be to capture high level content and narrative with the help of SF’s media team capture photographs and interviews etc.
3. Consultant will design and execute Fundraising campaigns, develop media content with development of brochures and pamphlets etc.
4. After the needs assessments and evaluation marketing strategies for beneficiaries and consumers will be developed by the consultant with SF’s marketing and media team.
5. He/ She will be working in close coordination with the SF’s project team and have regular meetings with program leads for project briefing and idea sharing etc.

 DELIVERABLES AND TIMELINE 

 The consultant will be responsible for the delivery and technical quality of the final product. All deliverables shall be submitted to Shifa Foundation in accordance with the following timeline:

 INSTITUTIONAL ARRANGEMENT

The consultant will be directly supervised by the Executive Director, and He/ She will work closely with the SF Team.

Role of the consultant 

• The consultant is responsible to provide his/her technical expertise to produce the expected outputs. 
• The consultant shall cover all the related cost during the assignment period.  
• The consultant shall be responsible for his / her lodging in the field.  The consultant shall report on and submit the above deliverables under this assignment to the assigned person, acting as the focal point for the project. 
• The consultant needs to maintain weekly communication with the line manager as and when problems emerge during the consultancy period, especially if they affect the scope of the job. 

Role of SF

• The Senior Manager Operations’ will provide overall quality assurance for this consultancy on behalf of Shifa Foundation
• The Executive Director unit will review deliverables for payment release.
• The Senior Manager Operations’ will act as the focal person to interact with the consultant to facilitate the assignment, to facilitate the field mission, to facilitate the review of each output and ensure the timely generation of the comments from stakeholders on each output.
