- Plan and conduct audits to review controls, operational efficiency and compliance with Shifa Foundation policies, procedures and relevant statutory laws and regulations.
- Conduct Risk Assessment on yearly basis.
- Develop annual risk-based audit plan and submit to audit committee for review and approval.
- Ensure proper execution of the internal audit plan by reviewing and comparing performance with the approved plan;
- Conduct operational and financial audits of various departments at head office and field offices
- Propose practical recommendations to address control weaknesses or process inefficiencies
- Document audit findings, draft audit reports, ensure that audit issues are communicated and resolved in a timely manner
- Present the quarterly audit report to Audit Committee, highlighting any areas of concern and the resultant action plan.
- Follow up to review compliance with the internal audit recommendations, and update Audit Committee accordingly.
- Carryout research and ensure that all financial practices are carried out in line with the SF-financial mechanism.
- Research and keep abreast of legislative issues, new audit regulation/trends and audit methodology. Discuss updates of new regulations with audit committee and senior management
- Design and arrange any special audit/ investigation exercise if so required by the Chairman Audit Committee;
- Coordinate with external auditors and representatives of other organizations on need basis.
- Any other official tasks assigned by the Chairman Audit Committee.
- Report directly to Chairman Audit Committee and administratively to HoD Compliance.
