- Handling all the maintenance works related to the electro-mechanical systems including the operation of sub-stations and coordination with WAPDA
- Take the responsibility for the continuous and reliable operation of equipment and systems under his charge within assigned areas
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for plant operations services and utilities and to develop periodic preventive maintenance (PPM) program
- Establish, coordinate and follow up on completion of a preventive maintenance program for various plant/equipment/machinery under his/her charge
- Plan and prioritize parts, materials, and supplies needed to maintain plant/ equipment/ machinery under his charge in reliable working conditions
- Determine methods and solutions for complex electrical engineering problems and select the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the objectives
- Conduct periodic inspections of buildings, evaluates the complexity of any needed repairs to determine the best solution, and project job cost, and oversee the implementation of approved procedures to ensure the ongoing efficient operation of hospital buildings
- Maintain ongoing relationships with all department units to keep abreast of their service needs and to be able to anticipate problems before they become crisis situations
- Supervise and train staff in the approved practices and procedures for proper facility maintenance and in the implementation and observance of all approved safety procedures to ensure compliance with existing safety regulations
- Direct, maintain, and enforce the safety program of the hospital and review safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians
- Establish and maintain applicable preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hospital
- Monitors completion of job assignments through frequent field observation and inspections to ensure compliance with standards and instruction
- Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of HVAC Plants, Boilers, Gas Power Generators, incinerators, and utility systems including water, gas, plumbing, carpentry, civil works, electrical power distribution, and panel
- Track, analyze, and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, etc
- Provides general management and professional direction for comprehensive facilities management that includes facilities maintenance and repairs, facilities renovation and utility distribution, etc
- Ensuring the hospital buildings meet health and safety requirements
- To liaise with various concerned companies such as WAPDA, IESCO, SNGPL, PTCL, and others
- Ensure inspection of the facility, medical gases, and water
