• Ability to efficiently handle warehouse functions and logistics of a large tertiary care hospital and its outlets across country.
  • Plan, forecast and sustain efficient demand and supply mechanism, thereby minimizing shortages, dead stocks and wastage.
  • Ability to quickly detect and respond to changes in supply and demand and has ability to efficiently adapt and respond to situation.
  • Effective execution of basic principles of pharmaceutical procurement with special focus on vendor selection, distribution, price negotiation and cost containment.
  • Ensure proper storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products and supplies with safety, security of stocks, end-to-end traceability, fulfillment of legal requirements and appropriate storage conditions esp. cold chain maintenance.
  • Should have fair knowledge of medicines and other therapeutic goods, surgical consumables and ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
  • Able to build high rapport and mutually beneficial professional alliances with suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor stock control and ensure reconciliation with data storage system.
  • Maximize the use of automation and technology to make evidence based purchasing decisions, providing safe, timely and optimal supplies to the patient care units and improve operational efficiency.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Should preferably have experience / knowledge about JCIA / ISO standards.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics and warehousing best practices and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Knowledge of SCM software, ERP system etc.
  • Working proficiency with PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure and time constraints.
  • Ability to handle conflicts or challenging situations confidently.
