- Ensure timely purchase of items and equipments, ongoing follow-up, identifying and screening procurement suppliers, negotiating terms and conducts all activities that ensure smooth departmental operations.
- Plan the purchase activities keeping in view the sources, their location and cost effectiveness
- Analyze market and delivery system in order to assess present and future trends. (as & when required)
- Manage vendor selection, registration and performance evaluation as per hospital policy
- Arrange all supplies/equipment in a timely manner well before the deadline.
- Take necessary actions in case of non-availability of item, price change or change of specifications
- Follow-up with suppliers to expedite the pending purchase order
- Ensure to maintain strong coordination, feedback and follow-up system with all stake holders at all levels
