Responsibilities:
- Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.
- Assist other departments in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
- Provide clear goals for all areas of a project and develop steps to oversee their timely execution.
- Design, build, and maintain tools to automate operational processes and support developer operations.
- Help migrate existing applications into Kubernetes.
- Work on and educate the development team to identify and remove performance bottlenecks, scaling chokepoints, single points of failure, and to optimize our software and systems.
- Stay up to date on relevant technologies, trends, and opportunities to ensure we always use the best possible techniques and tools.
- Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently.
- Mentor and train others throughout the company and seek to continually improve processes companywide.
- Work alongside teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Candidate should have minimum 1 year of hands-on Experience of managing Kubernetes Clusters, ability to spin-up, maintain, scale, monitor and troubleshoot production grade clusters.
- Minimum 2 years experience on dockers of configuration with multiple containers.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience with Helm
- Hands-on experience of setting up CI/CD for enterprise grade applications in multiple environments
- Knowledge of Micro Services and SOA with CI/CD for microservices would be a great plus.
- 5+ years’ experience with Linux systems, administration, operations, and networking.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience of managing and configuring AWS Infrastructure as a Code.
- Strong experience managing distributed messaging based applications on cloud.
- Experience with configuration management and workflow automation tools.
- Direct experience monitoring and supporting a highly available web application at enterprise scale.
- Experience with Redis and Elasticsearch is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science required or equivalent.
