Shoes Making Swat is seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our team and oversee the programming and maintenance of programmable logic controllers used in our industrial automation processes. The suitable candidate will have at least one year of experience and be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting control systems to enhance production efficiency. This role requires managing a team of 20 professionals, ensuring smooth operations and timely completion of automation projects.
The PLC Programmer will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to implement control system designs that meet company standards. The position demands proficiency in programmable logic controllers and control system design, with a strong focus on ensuring reliability and safety in automated manufacturing environments. The individual will also be tasked with optimizing existing systems and providing technical guidance to the team to meet operational goals effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop, program, test, and commission programmable logic controllers to automate manufacturing processes.
- Design and implement control system solutions for efficient and reliable production operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLC hardware and software to minimize downtime.
- Supervise and lead a team of 20 members, providing technical direction, training, and support.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to plan regular system inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Analyze system performances and propose improvements to optimize automation processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of PLC programming, system configurations, and modifications.
- Ensure all control systems comply with safety and quality standards of the company.
- Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends in industrial automation.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for procurement of automation components and software.
