This position requires a seasoned professional to lead a multidisciplinary project team with full accountability for managing project sites focused on Shutdown and Retrofit projects. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all contractual requirements and obligations, adhering closely to project drawings and specifications. The role demands a strong commitment to safety standards, budget management, and strict adherence to project timelines to achieve successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of contract documents to identify potential risks and develop preventive strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Define, plan, verify, and control the project scope to ensure inclusion of all necessary work while excluding unnecessary tasks. Any additional work beyond the original scope must be documented and charged to the client accordingly.
- Supervise Planning and FEDC (Front End Design and Construction) activities across all project sites, ensuring these tools are effectively utilized to control construction activities and optimize both project operations and human resource management.
- Oversee project execution in alignment with the established plan, taking corrective actions as required to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Prepare accurate project cost estimates and ensure procurement and utilization of all required resources—including human resources, materials, equipment, and plant—are managed within the allocated budget to maintain cost control.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- More than 15 years of relevant experience in refinery and oil & gas plant maintenance, with a strong focus on Shutdown Management.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Shutdown Manager on the contractor side, managing a single team of no fewer than 1,500 personnel (excluding subcontractors).
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience managing large-scale refinery projects is highly desirable.
- This is a full-time position offering a monthly salary in the range of Rs400,000 to Rs500,000.
- The role primarily requires travel and on-road presence, with preference given to candidates based in Pakistan.
