Graphic Designer

Permanent full-time position; the employee is expected to come and work at the office between 12:00 - 21:00hrs.

Navson is a highly ambitious and successful, UK-based, FMCG company, which has gone from strength to strength, since its inception in 2002. It intends to build on its impressive record, with future plans to develop and further its range of products. To do this, it is currently looking for a Graphic Designer to join the team based in its Rawalpindi office.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design advertising material and any other graphic artwork in line with brand specs. 

• Create engaging copy & graphic content to strict deadlines both autonomously and as part of a team, in a dynamic work environment.

• Develop innovative and eye-grabbing content for regular brand-focused, promotional posts and messages to targeted audiences. 

• Develop digital and print content for marketing campaigns. 

• Help manage the company’s social media accounts.

• Stay up to date on the latest marketing trends and technologies. 

Professional & Technical Skills: 

• Creative thinker with an interest in visual design – from still artwork; animation; and photography to video.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, including a proficiency in spoken and written English (a must) - candidates should be able to justify and articulate their ideas with ease in English, both orally and digitally.

• The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Graphic Designer or a similar role in graphic production for online and print, to include social media, ad network and website graphics.

• Possess good conceptual skills related to layout, colour and typography. 

• Hands-on Adobe Creative Suite experience. Proficient in design software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign).

• Experience with social media monitoring and management tools for social listening, publishing, and reporting.

• Adaptable and a quick learner with the ability to work to strict deadlines both autonomously and as part of a team, in a dynamic work environment.

• Must be able to apply style guides creatively, while upholding brand identity. 

• A good understanding of print processes. 

• A good understanding of UX/UI. 

Education Requirements: 

• A communication design-focused degree or a relevant graphic design qualification providing the relevant skills sought above. 

Experience: 

• Up to two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a digital agency. However we will consider an exceptional person with the right attitude and passion for graphic design, who boasts an impressive portfolio created during attending a relevant graphic design course. Terms of Employment:

Probation structure:

• 6-month probation period:

  • 3-month review & salary increment rise on successful completion of this period.

  • 6-month review & salary increment rise  on successful completion of this period.

After the 6-month probation period, any increment rise will be reviewed in accordance with an annual company review and employee performance.

Unsatisfactory employee performance at the 3-month & 6-month review stage, could result in the termination of employment.

Notwithstanding the above, a one-week notice period should be given if, at any stage, the employee or employer wishes to terminate the employment/post.

Acceptable Candidates Types:

Type 1:

Required: An exceptional calibre of creative student, showing promise with an excellent grasp of design theory and practice, who can effectively apply their knowledge using their relevant software package skills attained during their course, to produce a first-class level of work in accordance with the client/project brief.

Type 1 Salary Structure:

Initial - 30,000 Pak rupees (PR) monthly wage

After successful completion of the 3-month review - 35,000 PR

After successful completion of the 6-month review - 40,000 PR

Thereafter, the salary will be reviewed on an annual basis according to employee performance and company policy.

Type 2:

In addition to the skills outlined above for a Type 1 candidate, a Type-2 candidate should have 1-year work experience within a professional design agency setting after finishing their academic studies. The applicant should be able to demonstrate they have worked collaboratively within a team and delivered a variety of projects on time. 

Type 2 Salary Structure:

Initial - 40,000 Pak rupees monthly wage

After successful completion of the 3-month review - 45,000 PR

After successful completion of the 6-month review - 50,000 PR

Thereafter, the salary will be reviewed on an annual basis according to employee performance and company policy

Type 3:

In addition to the skills outlined above for Type 1 & 2 candidates, a Type-3 candidate should have upto 2-years work experience within a professional design agency setting after finishing their academic studies. The applicant should be able to demonstrate they have led on a variety of projects, which were delivered on time.

Type 3 Salary Structure:

Initial - 50,000 Pak rupees monthly wage

After successful completion of the 3-month review - 55,000 PR

After successful completion of the 6-month review - 60,000 PR

Thereafter, the salary will be reviewed on an annual basis according to employee performance and company policy.
