Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for internal communications, coordination with different units, regular meetings with them and producing material as per their requirements in consultation with the unit head
  • Coordination with partner organizations and community institutions for development of IEC material
  • Responsible for coordination with various service providers for production of audio/visual products such as radio programs, video documentaries, etc
  • Responsible for content compilation and production of  Organizations Quarterly Newsletter and its translation/composition into Urdu language
  • Responsible for script writing for radio programs/video documentaries/field stories/photo stories
  • Responsible for conducting ‘Learning & Sharing Sessions’ for organizations staff.
  • Responsible for editing and proof reading of publications
  • Responsible for unit’s record keeping, comprising  invoices and payments of the work being outsourced
  • Coordination with vendors, designers and printers to ensure quality of work and timely delivery
  • Cataloguing of CDs and DVDs to ensure accessibility
  • Responsible for managing various organizations events
  • Translations and Urdu composing of text
  • Dissemination of material to stakeholders when and where required

Key Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree or 16 years of education preferably in Social Sciences/Mass Communication/Media Studies/International Relations from a HEC recognized institution
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role.
  • Exposure of development sector especially in communication/media unit would be an added advantage.
  • Experience of writing scripts for audio/video/ productions
  • Experience of internal/external communication with a strong understanding of information dissemination of IEC material
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in English and/or Urdu copy writing/editing
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Understands mechanics of printing, event management and graphic designing
  • Potential of handling Social Media Platforms/Channels
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Inpage, PowerPoint and Excel Sheets
  • Possess a thorough understanding of Public & Media Relations
  • Ability to do multi-tasking under tight deadlines
  • Must be a team player with good adaptability skills
