A leading US-based Multinational Company has multiple openings for its new innovation center in Islamabad.

Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals in Linux and Windows.
- Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator will be a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar relevant degree.
- In depth knowledge of Linux
- Hands on experience with configuring database servers like SQL server / MariaDB and web applications using Apache Tomcat, Nginx, wildfly,Varnish, lighttpd.
- Understanding of virtualization and hand on experience on tools like VSphere and Hyper-V
- Basic knowledge of networking security concepts, such as firewall, port forwarding.
- Experience of managing and administering anti-virus, system back up and monitoring tools.
- Excellent Linux system administrative skills required and a passion for technology are essential.
- Familiarity with the core tools such as git, ssh, Linux command line and Bash.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Additional experience with scripting tools such as Python or Bash and automation tools like Jenkins and Ansible will be a plus.
- Willing to work on a Rotating Shift Schedule (day, evening/night shift)
Major Duties:
- Contribute to one of the most utilized health management systems in the U.S.
- Administering, maintaining the Linux operating system and its associated software.
- Monitor, manage and maintain system infrastructure including, databases, production servers, firewalls, malware and other software and hardware components and respond quickly to any security breaches, availability and usability concerns to ensure a 24x7x365 uptime service.
- Help tune performance and ensure seamless integration of the system components for smooth performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users and other administrators.
- Work closely with development team to answer technical questions and resolve issues with server-side performance and assist them with installation and maintenance of Linux-based software programs.
- Backup systems and verify that backups have been completed.
- Regularly upgrade systems as needed.
Qualification: Minimum graduation/BS/BE in CS/SE/CE/EE from a reputable institute
Experience: 2-3 years of experience as System Administrator
