A leading US-based Multinational Company is looking for a strategic and Inquisitive Senior Data Scientist to develop and run data-centered projects.
His/her primary focus will be laying out data pipelines, data cleaning, applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, creating visualizations from data and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products.
Required Skills & Qualification:
- BSc in Engineering or Computer Science
- 05+ years of experience in relevant roles.
- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
- Experience with common data science toolkits, written in R and Python. Proven work record in at least one language is mandatory.
- Great communication skills.
- Experience with data visualisation tools, such as D3.js, GGplot, etc.
- Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig. Experience with pivoting, partitioning, grouping and roll-up needed in at least 1 language.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase.
- Good applied statistics skills, i.e distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
- Excellent scripting skills.
- Data-oriented personality.
Major Duties:
- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods.
- Provide insights about the company's business using statistical modelling.
- Find patterns in data coupled with external sources of data.
- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
- Collection, processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis (ETL and data wrangling).
- Clear, helpful and easily understable visualizations of data for decision making.
- Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance.
