Sky Associates and Builders is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with a minimum of three years of solid accounting experience to join their finance team. The ideal candidate is proficient in financial reporting, general ledger management, and tax compliance, with a strong ability to independently manage accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, forecasting, and audit coordination. This role demands thorough knowledge of financial statement preparation and internal controls, ensuring all accounting processes meet the established standards of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). A high level of honesty and accuracy is essential to successfully handle cash and bank reconciliations and maintain financial integrity.
The Accountant will work closely within the company's accounting framework, utilizing ERP software and tools such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to manage and track transactions efficiently. Experience with real estate transactions, installment plans, and FBR tax filing is preferred, enabling smoother handling of specialized accounting tasks specific to the industry. This position does not involve team management but requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines and contribute to the companys financial health and growth.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage daily operations of the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Coordinate tax compliance activities, including accurate preparation and timely filing of tax returns.
- Process and oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Develop budgets and forecasts to support financial planning and control processes.
- Coordinate and assist in internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and addressing audit inquiries.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accounting accuracy.
- Handle cash and bank reconciliations independently, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Utilize ERP accounting software and QuickBooks to record, track, and analyze financial data.
- Apply knowledge of real estate transactions and installment plans to support specialized accounting functions.
- Maintain and update financial records regularly, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
- Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze and present financial information effectively.
