We are looking for a great JavaScript developer. Your primary focus will be on developing modules and user interface components. You will ensure that these modules and components are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.
Responsibilities:
· Writing Browser extensions
· Develop new software applications from concept to finish, with regular tests and maintenance.
· Write excellent code.
· Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
· Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
· Evaluate and implement advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks as needed.
· Understand asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
· Guarantee the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Requirements:
· 5+ years of JavaScript and related technologies
· Experience in writing browser extensions.
· Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and to be able to apply those concepts within the JavaScript framework.
· A proven track record of developing software, web applications using JavaScript.
· Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds
· Strong understanding of features and utility functions of jQuery
· Ability to roll out well-implemented custom jQuery plugins
· Experience with HTML and HTML5 APIs (Canvas, Geolocation, Video, etc.).
· Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
· Experience working with a version control system (e.g. Subversion).
· Experience in the server-side programming language will be a plus (e.g Node.js etc)
