Social Media Content Manager

The Social Media Content Creator role in Jordan is a key position focused on leading content production, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation for the Everything App. This role requires a dynamic team player with deep expertise in social media and content creation, capable of working cross-functionally to develop and execute engaging social media initiatives that strengthen brand affinity and support strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the development, management, and optimization of social media strategies to enhance Careem’s brand presence.
- Manage social media calendars and craft compelling captions that align with Careem’s voice and tone.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including marketing, creative, brand, digital, corporate, and account management to bring Careem’s verticals and sub-brands to life on social platforms.
- Partner with other social media leads to coordinate campaigns and share insights for continuous improvement.
- Monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of social media initiatives; provide actionable recommendations to optimize performance and communicate successes across the organization.
- Stay informed on emerging social media trends and platforms, experimenting with new approaches that authentically resonate with the brand.
- Lead all stages of content production from ideation through editing, working alongside social media and marketing strategists and creators.
- Develop and produce made-for-social video content tailored for social media channels in Pakistan, supporting Careem’s positioning.
- Collaborate with business verticals and sub-functions to identify content opportunities and execute content based on briefs.
- Test innovative social content strategies to improve channel-specific KPIs and explore emerging platforms.
- Direct social media shoots and be present on the ground to create content for Stories, Reels, and live coverage as needed.
- Proactively generate content ideas inspired by industry and regional trends to maintain a fresh and engaging social media presence.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in social media management and content creation.
- Proven expertise in the full content production process, including video editing.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and CapCut.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Creative and strategic thinker capable of ideating around existing concepts and developing new ideas relevant to target audiences.
- Deep understanding of social media creative trends and strategic operational knowledge of social channels.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a strong team player and collaborator.
