We are looking for a talented software developer to join our team specializing in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) applications. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain essential compliance systems that support transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, case management, and customer risk assessment. You will work closely with compliance and data science teams to implement detection models and ensure that all solutions meet regulatory requirements. This position is fully remote and offers a competitive monthly salary.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain AML/CFT software solutions, including transaction monitoring systems, name and sanctions screening tools, case management modules, and KYC/customer risk scoring platforms. Integrate these systems with core banking or financial platforms through APIs and data pipelines. Collaborate with compliance and data science teams to implement detection models, risk rules, and regulatory reporting mechanisms. Ensure software compliance with regulatory standards such as FATF recommendations, local Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) requirements, and data privacy laws. Optimize system performance and data processing to efficiently handle large volumes of financial transactions. Build automated testing frameworks, deployment pipelines, and monitoring tools to maintain high software quality and reliability. Participate actively in code reviews, maintain comprehensive technical documentation, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Stay updated on emerging AML/CFT technologies and evolving regulatory requirements to continuously improve system capabilities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. At least 3 years of professional software development experience, preferably in financial services or compliance technology sectors. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#. Experience with databases including SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, along with ETL and data pipeline development. Strong knowledge of API design, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. A solid understanding of financial crime compliance frameworks, including AML, CFT, and KYC principles. Familiarity with AML tools such as Actimize, SAS AML, Oracle Mantas, or FircoSoft is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with machine learning or rule-based detection engines for identifying suspicious activities. Knowledge of graph analytics or network analysis techniques to uncover suspicious relationships. Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This is a full-time remote position offering a monthly salary range of Rs75,000 to Rs100,000.
