- As a Build/Release Engineer, you will be tasked with managing the deployment of software releases.
- Responsible for coordinating release management and change management for all enterprise applications across the organization
- Adopt Agile Methodologies and effective use of time management to prioritize and execute work with urgency to meet deadlines and flexible and adaptable to change and speed of work.
- Partner with engineering, scrum teams to build scalable tools and infrastructure to release software that is reliable, safe, sustainable, and secure.
- Coordinate with PMs, testers, developers on software build, releases, and deployment of software development projects to production.
- Ensuring that each application and software version and release is thoroughly tested for performance and reliability by coordinating with System & Continuous performance team.
- Review and maintain release documentation for both internal uses and the end-user. This documentation can include information about stable release versions, identified and resolved bugs, and potential issues that the developers may need to address post-deployment.
- Support continuous delivery programs in which patches, new versions, and bug fixes are more frequently deployed to end-users without sacrificing stability or reliability.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Jenkins/Bamboo or other build automation servers.
- Java-based servers & build systems (experience with JBoss/Wildfly and Jenkins)
- Familiarity with Atlassian suite of tools: Jira, Fisheye
- Excellent scripting skills.
- Designed, installed, and supported software configuration management processes.
- Building and deploying Docker and Linux/Windows containers
- Experience in containers, and container orchestration
- Microservice-based solutions experience in Kubernetes
