About the Position!
We are seeking a Senior Database Developer to join our Database Team in our Lahore Office.
- As a Senior database developer, you will be primarily responsible for the design, develop, test, implement and maintain new and existing databases.
- Identify areas for modification in existing queries.
- Write and implement efficient code.
What will you do?
Job Role and Duties:
- Design, develop and maintain data models and schemas.
- Write complex and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and functions in MySQL/SQLite.
- Work directly with the product team and engineering team on planning, architecture, and design.
- Able to develop a good understanding of existing applications.
- Ensure code performance, stability, tuning, and reliability.
- Debugging and fixing issues in the SQL query.
- Follow standard software development life cycle methodologies.
- Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of dependability.
- Work independently as a team member.
- Should be ready to work and deliver during challenging and tight timelines.
- Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus in fast paced environment.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Database Development.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer sciences.
- Demonstrable experience as a Database Development. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Exceptional ability to work with cross-functional teams to build partnerships and get things done.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, edge devices, IoT, KPIs and analytics, and similar concepts.
- Strong analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in material handling systems or similar industry would be an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
About Schedule!
Working Hours and Schedule:
- 40 plus hours per week - Must be willing to work overlapping hours as needed
- Monday to Friday
