Solotech Labs is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer who will be responsible for the technical implementation of current and future data warehouse, business intelligence solutions and data migration strategies, Microsoft Power BI and Pentaho.An ideal candidate must be able to:-
- Implement new business intelligence and data warehouse requirements using SQL, ETL, Business Intelligence tools, database programming and reporting tools
- Interaction with clients and technical leaders to identify and scope the business opportunities, document and vet business requirements
- Identify effective reporting techniques and best data sources in order to reach report field, identify risks and constraints and design reporting formats
- Develop, implement, optimize and maintain ETL (extract, transform and load) solutions to bring new data into data warehouse
- Deploy ETL Packages/Cubes on Development/Test environment, and provide deployment instruction for further deployment on production
- Develop optimized design to achieve acceptable performance by tuning view, tables and indexes for proper response
- Develop new capabilities and architectures which capatalize the development of client portal and ad-hoc BI capabilities
- Full life-cycle development and maintenance of data warehouse, ETL, and business intelligence solutions
- Data analyst skills to determine root cause of problems for data integrity and data quality issues identified by QA or business report owners
- Provide guidance and recommendation on BI reporting packages
- Develop ETL packages using Pentaho and Power BI
- Analyse system issues reported by users and present workable solutions
- Planning and oversight of the design, build and test environment of the system and related interfaces
- Daily supervision of staff and all associated tasks assigned to managing a development and support team
- Participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related code
- Provide the technical leadership that allows the team to enrich their technical skills, understandings, methods and development toolsets
- Creating unit test cases, unit test plans, and execute unit testing
- Mentor and train technical and non technical team members
