The Role: Desktop Publisher, News Production
The Location: Islamabad, Pakistan
The Impact: As a desktop publisher, you will oversee production of all News department publications ensuring their timely completion. You will be responsible for producing the daily, monthly, and quarterly newsletters. You will also complete other production tasks as assigned.
Shift: This is an evening/night shift position, candidate should be flexible to work in all shifts depending on business needs.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for producing and laying out newsletters.
- Transfer articles, charts, maps and data from raw format into a unique issue.
- Obtain advertisements from Marketing and place them within the newsletter.
- Ensure that all edits are made to the newsletter. Sends the newsletter to the clients in a timely manner.
- Create charts and maps to accompany online articles and publications.
- Create reprints of articles and content for clients.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Test ads from outside companies to make sure they are compatible with S&P publications.
- Complete other assignments and tasks as assigned.
What we are looking for:
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment, focused on collaboration, as well as in an independent setting under minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Good eye for design and the data representation/visualization.
- Understands how to convey information in a clear and direct manner.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Must be a self-starter.
- Eagerness to learn new things and be an effective global team player.
Basic Qualifications:
1-3 years of professional experience working with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat and MS Office applications (especially Excel) in a Windows environment. Strong understanding of both raster and vector graphics.
