Intern, Metals and Mining

The Role:

As an Intern, Metals and Mining, your primary focus is to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data relevant to Metals and Mining industry content published in S&P Global products. To maintain a high level of subject matter expertise related to content set, including knowledge of internal applications and external products.

This position is based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Responsibilities:

• You will be performing straightforward, stand-alone tasks or transactions within detailed instructions and predefined procedures

• You are going to be responsible for entering and editing data in work tools as per specified guidelines and checklists particularly related to Metals and Mining Industry

• You shall capture comprehensive information on the data tracked by the respective department

• Your work involves creating reports of work performed during the day via reporting tools. This process will also involve extracting and validating data errors

• You are expected to deliver on predefined individual and team targets including delivering outcomes with quality and excellence

• We expect you to work within own team; may interact with other related teams. Works with supervisor and team members to understand processes and procedure

• You shall keep up-to-date in knowledge of content sets and build industry knowledge

• You are expected to foster innovation by identifying enhancement initiatives that support our LEAN/Automation philosophy

Shift:

This is a morning shift job. You should be flexible working in different shifts (morning & night).

• In-depth understanding of Mining industry, in depth knowledge of mining techniques, minerals and rocks

• Good research and analytical skills

• Articulate and fluent communication

• Ability to perform under tight deadlines

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong critical thinking and Problem solving skills

Education Requirements:

 A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Geology/Geophysics and/or relevant experience.
