Position Title: News Writer I, Real Estate and Private Equity

Location: Islamabad, Pakistan

Our newsroom is dedicated to delivering readers actionable news on financial markets around the world. You will have the opportunity to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and to develop a close team dynamic with co-workers from around the globe.  

The Impact :

The Newswriter plays an essential role in writing and publishing top-quality news stories that reach an audience of decision-makers. You will have the opportunity to hone your writing skills, work with S&P Global’s extensive in-house data sets and gain industry knowledge in specific business sectors.   

Responsibilities:

• Write daily/weekly features for Real Estate and Private Equity
• Identify strong story angels for data-driven stories leveraging S&P Global’s extensive in-house data sets 
• Vetting company websites, stock exchange feeds, newswires and other sources to gather and monitor information 
• Initiative to grow own industry knowledge, drawing on in-house training tools and other resources 
• Collaborate with journalists across the globe 
• Interview industry sources for commentary on data pieces
• Build and expand network of industry experts

What We’re Looking For: 

• A proactive attitude and a keen eye for detail. 
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. 
• A strong interest in business news and data journalism
• Strong initiative and collaboration skills

Requirements: 

• A Bachelor's/College Degree, Journalism, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Mass Communications or equivalent
• At least 3 years of news writing experience 
• A high level grasp of English language grammar. 
• Outstanding communication skills 
• Open to working from 2am ET to 10am ET
