The Role: As a Newswriter III, you will primarily be responsible for writing news articles based on information from company documents, regulatory filings and other third-party news stories. You will also edit stories written by others in the news team while providing them with feedback. Opportunities for people management, training and engagement with other departments within the wider company might present themselves as well. The Team: We are truly a global firm! We comprise of a global team of Newswriters, Reporters and Editors based in offices of U.S., U.K., Pakistan, India and the Philippines.The Impact: We cover critical market-moving news in the European banking and insurance sector, ranging from key economic data to company-specific announcements. This role will provide you with an opportunity for critical functions within the news group. This involves deciding on how stories are written and what news gets published. You will also be directly managing other team members and offering mentorship and training; and liaising with other departments with the goal of improving the overall operation.Responsibilities: You will compose news articles based on newspaper stories, company statements and regulatory filings
As you gain experience, you will be provided the opportunity to work on more sophisticated content based on media such as in-depth company reports, company conference calls, and direct interviews with analysts and market commentators
You will capture newsworthy leads pertaining to the European financial sector and aggregate stories for regular wrap features
People-management also falls under the preview of this job

Work Shift: This is a morning shift role but flexibility to work some early-morning and/or evening shifts is an added advantage. What We’re Looking For:
Basic Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's/College degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Economics, and/ or relevant education.
Experience working as a journalist/editor in a professional capacity
Very strong written and verbal English communication
Meticulous accuracy skills
Eager to learn new things and be a standout teammate
Tight-knit collaboration skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Knowledge of business news and the European financial sector

Preferred Qualifications: Deep knowledge of banks and finance in general is a huge plus
