The Role: Senior Quality Engineer (Multiple Openings)

The Location: Islamabad, Pakistan

The Team: As part of Quality Engineering team, you will communicate and lead the creation and maintenance of the overall roadmap and quality assurance direction for both internal and new production systems. These products are directly associated with revenue growth. The team is in geographically located in Pakistan, USA, India, Canada, Paris & Argentina.

The Impact: You will review and analyze quality assurance data and metrics to provide insights and conclusions. Produce reports, communications, and training materials. Continue to build knowledge and expertise of products, services or technologies, content and methodologies offered by the business area.

Responsibilities:

  • Requires thorough technical, analytical and operational knowledge within the QA/software testing discipline. Accountable for test strategies to continuously improve the quality of our various products including build out of automation test suite.

  • Analyze product requirements and ensure the testing strategy is aligning a risk-based test approach mitigating risk exposure within all phases of testing; utilizing automated testing tools to continuously build automated regression test suite.

  • Collaborate effectively within scrum team working with both technical and non-technical team members. Ensure Definition of Done (DOD) is complete before signing off stories.

  • Implement improvements, which may require ingenuity and creativity, within quality assurance program and operational systems with measurable quality indicators of the product.

  • Build and maintain status reports to highlight the state of patching, upcoming patches, impacts/concerns, etc.

  • Coordinate business application testing within QA for S&P Global strategic projects.

  • Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of various factors.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 04- 07 years of relevant experience in Quality assurance & testing

  • Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, QA methodologies, defect management system, and documentation.

  • Solid command of essential testing knowledge & experience on database testing (SQL preferred)

  • Experience in automation, automation frameworks, and automation delivery.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/PG degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
