The Specialist RAN Operations role is a vital technical position based in Islamabad, focused on ensuring the optimal performance and stability of the Radio Access Network (RAN). This position provides continuous 24x7 back-office operational support to field teams, addressing technical issues at both site and controller levels. The Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end configuration changes within the RAN domain to maintain seamless network functionality and high service quality. Reporting directly to the Manager RAN Operations, this role plays a key part in supporting network operations and troubleshooting to uphold network reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform parameter configuration and tuning for BSC, BTS, Cell, and TRX within Huawei network environments.
- Execute BSC and BTS rehoming, SGSN shifting and addition, along with software, patch, and license upgrades.
- Manage new site creation, including hard and soft expansions, and configure dual carrier setups.
- Conduct junk database deletion in EMS and implement network blocking in compliance with PTA directives.
- Standardize alarms across the network and handle special event configurations and performance management during major occasions such as Eid and congregations.
- Manage database exports and maintain accurate inventory control.
- Provide Level-II support to field teams for network outages and performance degradation issues.
- Analyze daily BSC and major KPIs, troubleshoot network problems, and perform degradation analysis with timely rectification.
- Ensure redundancy of controllers and conduct alarms and event analysis, implementing prompt fixes.
- Carry out network hardware and license audits, database backups, physical inspections, and preventive maintenance of controllers.

Required Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of practical experience with Huawei RAN configuration and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecom, or Computer Engineering.
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 roster duty schedule to support continuous network operations.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to daily operational challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of GSM architecture and call flows for 2G and 4G technologies.
