Senior Systems Administrator/ AWS Cloud Architect

·         Design, document, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls.

·         Proactively manage and maintain server, network and firewall systems 

·         Administer and support core Microsoft, AWS Servers, Remote Servers and VMware technologies

·         Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans

·         Builds virtual machines on AWS and VMware technology·Define and troubleshoot security groups to allow proper flow of information

·         Ensures all infrastructure adheres to the policies put forth by Global Security and Cloud Architecture teams

·         Oversees and coordinates OS patching on a monthly basis. Ensures that servers are compliant with the patching policies

·         Collects and reviews system data for capacity and planning purposes. Analyzes capacity data and develops capacity plans for appropriate level enterprise-wide systems

·         Supports the design and configuration of complex system landscapes

·         Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviews system logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups

·         Develops and maintains appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current. Oversees the maintenance of a library of system-supporting process and procedure documentation

·         Interacts with client management to answer questions, problems and requests regarding complex system issues

·         Incident Management / Root cause analysis / Problem Management.

·         Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment

·         Define and document best practices and support procedures

·         Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance

·         Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation

·         Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies

·         Carry out special tasks at Management's direction

·         Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.

·         Architecting and managing the Server(s) Systems

·         Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues at server side

·         Manage the configuration and operation of server-based computer operating systems

·         Monitor the Server Systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns

·         Create and verify backups of data

·         Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution

·         Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes

·         Ensuring and implementing server infrastructure security

·         Review application logs

·         Install and test server-related equipment

·         Install and configure software and hardware on the servers

·         Manage network servers and technology tools

·         Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements

·         Troubleshoot issues and outages

·         Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls

·         Upgrade systems with new releases and models

·         To train the junior staff and manage their daily activities

·         Assisting developers teams to setup the software and services on the servers

·         Create and maintain the server security policies

·         Provide consultancy for the continues improvement of the servers and infrastructure

·         Design and develop the SSIT’s own cloud based servers infrastructure.

·         Other duties as assigned.
