Job purpose
As a QA Engineer, you will be at the cutting edge of how media, technology, and customers interact. Your primary role will be to verify and validate the business and technology deliveries across the range of our products; Android, iOS/TVOS, Web, Smart TVs, game consoles, Chromecast and many more devices.
QA Engineer Primary Requirements
- You have basic knowledge of the architecture of a web application (client-server, REST API basics, caching systems, basic database knowledge...)
- Knowledge of testing best practices and processes
- Working experience in Agile teams (to have worked using both Kanban and SCRUM methodologies).
- Basic knowledge of performance improvement techniques is a plus
- Working experience testing web-based applications on browsers as well as mobile devices
- Experience in testing consoles and TV application is a plus.
- Understanding and working experience of the defect management lifecycle is a must
- Understanding and working experience of full test development lifecycle
- Working experience in the development of Test Plan’s and Test Cases
- Working experience in Test Execution;, progression, regression, UAT, integration, system testing, production verification testing and automation testing.
- Experience in preparing Test Summary Reports and have a solid understanding and experience using quality metrics and quality KPIs
- You have good knowledge of Javascript language is a plus
- Quick to pick up new technology and accepting of new challenges and ideas
- Experience working in Agile teams and contributing to a range of technology and business discussions.
- You are eager to learn about devices that run apps in mainly written in Javascript (Chromecast, Smart TVs, Playstation, Xbox One, Roku,...) and learn to adapt to their limited resources and support to web standards
- Experience with client-side or backend side Javascript frameworks is always welcome (jQuery, Angular, Vue, React, Polymer, Express.js, Koa)
- Experience using ALM tools for QA, such as; JIRA, TestRail, Quality Center, Rational Test Manager, SilkCentral and etc.
- Experience on testing tools like Selenium, JUnit, Appium (Android, iOS)

- You are eager to learn/understand video related technologies (over the top streaming protocols, CDN infrastructure, online video platforms, etc)
- You can work autonomously and under pressure
- You are familiar with TDD approach
- You feel comfortable working in an international environment
- You are a team player and open to change with an amazing work ethic and fun and friendly attitude.
- Understanding the version control systems like GIT, SVN
- You have an analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and basic algorithm understanding
- You are a self-driven person who doesn’t need someone else to continuously command what to do, you are able to see what comes next based on existing roadmaps and agile methodologies tools.
- You are able to see the parts that must be abstracted from the software to make it more flexible and reusable.
