Each therapist is expected to hold relevant certification and demonstrate experience in their respective fields, specifically related to autism spectrum support. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience and a passion for improving the quality of life for children with special needs. The therapists at Stl Rehabilitation Centre do not manage a team but are expected to work closely with each other, family members, and caregivers to create and implement individualized treatment plans. They assess progress regularly and make adjustments to therapeutic strategies to ensure the best outcomes for the childs development. The successful candidates will utilize specialized techniques such as language development strategies, behavior modification through Applied Behavior Analysis, and sensory integration and fine motor skills therapy to foster greater independence in daily activities.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the childs specific needs and abilities.
  • Apply evidence-based practices in speech therapy to improve language development and communication skills.
  • Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis techniques to address behavioral challenges and promote positive behaviors.
  • Conduct occupational therapy sessions focusing on sensory integration, fine motor skills, and daily living activities.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure a cohesive approach to therapy and progress.
  • Regularly assess the childs progress and modify treatment plans accordingly to maximize effectiveness.
  • Engage with family members and caregivers to provide education and support for the childs development.
  • Document all therapy sessions and maintain accurate records of the childs response and improvements.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in autism therapy.
  • Ensure a supportive, safe, and empathetic environment that encourages the childs growth and confidence.
