The Manager of Grants and Knowledge Management will primarily be responsible for leading two functional areas:

Grants Management

Administer grants and procurement processes related to subaward management, and manage sub awards to ensure that implementing sub-partners are compliant with donor policies and procedures. Additionally, they will be responsible to advise staff on contractual and grant issues, donor compliance and risk mitigation in high-risk scenarios.

Knowledge Management

Develop techniques and procedures for organizing, locating, and enabling access to relevant knowledge and expertise required to address specific business tasks in our knowledge base. Additionally, they will be responsible for creating governance and standards across the various teams, workflows and information systems.

An ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment and has a background in grants management (including sub grants), and leading content and information architecture strategy across an organization.

As the Manager of Grants and Knowledge Management, you will establish and manage the grants team oversight of the sub-grant processes including review of all partner financial documents/reports. You will also define the content/knowledge management strategy and lead the content architecture and strategy. The role will focus on developing, auditing, and maintaining high quality content for employees.

You will mentor and train grant/finance officers on all aspects of subaward management and compliance, and implementing partners on reporting requirements. You will also coordinate with key stakeholders on institutional capacity building plans and overall partnership development methodologies.

You will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to maintain consistency at a global scale and align the content and information strategy with their vision. You will play a significant role in the development of a successful and effective knowledge base and will have a direct impact on employees day to day. You will mentor and coach MEAL officers, MIS officers and communication officers, amongst other staff, around the promotion and use of the organization’s MIS as the central point knowledge and the one true source of information.
