About Project:

Under ‘Faith in Action for Sustainable Climate Resilience’ project, SPO intends to engage various stakeholders through capacity building initiatives primarily focusing on advocacy and lobbying to engage and educate the associated stakeholders on climate change, disaster risk reduction, and climate resilience. These beneficiaries include Faith actors, Youth, CSO’s, CBO’s, Social activists, Women and other marginalized segments of the societies who are directly or indirectly affected from the climate change and limits these marginalized groups from voicing their concerns and needs in planning for climate resiliency and remain largely untapped resource. As a result, often climate adaptability, resilience and DRR plans disproportionately affected these groups. Another critical aspect of the project is to disseminate knowledge and understanding of what is needed to adapt to changing environmental and social conditions for those severely affected by climate change that has increased vulnerability of these target groups and communities.

Specific Objectives of the TV shows are:

To produce and broadcast 1 TV talk show about collective response on climate change and social harmony.

To promote Faith Based Citizenship Approach (FCBA) for sustainable climate resilience within communities.

Scope of Assignment:

Under the overall guidance of Head of Program and Program Team, the Firm/TV channel is likely to undertake the following tasks;

1.      The TV talk show will be recorded in District Peshawar will be aired on Christmas, 25th December 2020

2.      The selected Firm/TV channel will be responsible for the production and broadcasting of 1 TV talk show in consultation with SPO regional team on specific topic outlined in the objectives.

3.      The selection of guest speakers/panelists will be finalized in consultation with SPO team.

4.      The duration of the program will be 40-45 minutes

5.      The Firm/TV channel will be responsible for the provision of anchor person for the programs, and his/her cost shall be covered in the agreed overall cost per show/program

6.      The program will be recorded in a studio

7.      Editing of program will be the responsibility of the Firm/TV channel

8.      The Firm/TV channel will follow talking points and questions developed by SPO team and ensure that the program contents are not controversial and have a more significant impact over masses with regards to social harmony and collective response to climate change from communities

9.      Programs will be recorded in Urdu/Pashto language

10.  The programs will be broadcasted during the prime time to ensure maximum outreach and viewership

11.  The Firm/TV channel will provide recordings and transmission certificate of the program to SPO which must include the outreach in numbers

Facilitation of the Firm/TV channel:  Project team of SPO Peshawar will facilitate and guide the consulting firm/team on respective and agreed assignments:

1.   Inception Meeting with the selected Firm/TV channel for detailed insights on the subjects and outcome of TV programs/shows

2.   The script of the show, including the details of guest speakers, questions and other talking points to avoid any confusion or irrelevant information sharing

3.   SPO team will be responsible for coordinating with guest speakers. However, the Firm/TV channel may also suggest potential guest speakers who can contribute voluntarily

4.   SPO team will review the recording of the show before broadcasting it to ensure that the content of talk show is not biased against any religious group, ethnicity and gender.

5.   Payments

Payments shall be made on the basis of submitted invoices as per the following payment plan:
