The position is responsible for carrying out the office and field level activities related to – Project titled “Faith in Action for Sustainable Climate Resilience” district Umerkot and Sanghar.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and facilitate flow of essential information with project team members.
  • Maintain project calendar and milestones.
  • Establish quantitative staffing model used by foundation strategy leaders to describe staffing resource level to execute strategies given their specific execution choices.
  • Develop an insightful analytical tool used by strategy owners to inform resource requests, execution decisions and strategy choices.
  • Organize Self-help groups and conduct meetings, awareness sessions and trainings.
  • Organize stakeholder’s meetings at provincial and district level with relevant government departments.
  • Strong Liaison with legislators/ parliamentarians and District government officials.
  • Initiate planning for project with guidance from Project Manager (Operational Planning, Budgeting)
  • Participate in developing project proposals and project documentation
  • Assist PM to develop work plan with partners if necessary.
  • Organize networking and lobbying meetings with different government departments at the district level including DDMA, Social Welfare Department.
  • Be responsible for monitoring and supervision of activities implemented in the project’s sites to ensure effective implementation.
  • Supervise and record project activities expenditure against budget
  • Responsible for managing project database and other M&E tools
  • Implement the project M & E plan in a professional manner
  • Visit project sites on a regular basis (monthly or bi-monthly)
  • Participate in Project review
  • Participate in Planning for transfer / transition of achievements
  • Following the work plan and meeting the targets as per plan.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and bi-annual work plans and activity report.
  • Documentation of all activities and compiled data for monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Provide technical support to project team and partners when necessary
  • Identifying training needs of partners and beneficiaries in the context of the project
  • Contribute in developing operating tools for project interventions
  • Assist in reviewing and redesigning intervention in consultation with the Project manager and partners and in response to evolving needs of target groups
  • Compile /document lessons learnt and intervention model
  • Participating in designing research/study, collecting analysing data, translating document research findings together with other project team members, partners and consultants
  • Preparing and facilitating together with project team, consultant and local partner to plan, design and conduct workshops and trainings.
  • Facilitating and supporting project partners, consultant and project team to develop training manual and other IEC materials

Job Requirements

  • Master preferably in Environmental Science, Social Work, Development Studies, Sociology or any discipline of Social Sciences.
  • Comprehensive knowledge about Climate Change Resilience, Peacebuilding, Human Rights and Social cohesion initiatives.
  • Excellent networking and coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication and report writing skills in English with better knowledge of regional languages.
  • 5-7 year working experience in the field of social sector particularly with women, government departments at provincial and district level.
  • Ready to work immediately.

The position is only open for residents of Sindh and preference will be given to local candidates. Sindh based Domicile Holder can only apply and priority will be given to local candidate of the district.
