3+ years in oilfield maintenance or similar position. Maintaining plant production by making repairs within scope of expertise.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Major duties:
- Performs diagnosis and provides consultation for problems on various types of oil well service equipment based on reports from the field
- Makes mechanical repairs on plant equipment and performs preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis.
- Learns to identify equipment malfunctions and repair before catastrophic failure.
- Checks mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble, adjusting functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary or determines other actionable steps to resolve issues
- Performs required repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Cleans, lubricates, or adjusts parts equipment, or machinery
- Learns to identify equipment malfunctions and repair before catastrophic failure.
- Begins to develop expertise in a specialized skill.
- Becomes aware of all safety hazards and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintains department records.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
- Must have knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics and rebuilding components
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as mechanic maintenance technician oilfield maintenance or similar position.
- Must have experience in using hand tools
- Must be able to communicate with all levels of employees
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
