The Benefit Verification (BV) Medical Insurance Verification Specialist will be responsible for the verification of insurance coverage for potential new patients and the re-verification of insurance coverage for existing patients.
Medical Insurance Verification Specialist for USA health system for a busy General Pratice Medical Clinic. Prior experience in medical insurance verification is a must.
- Working during USA working hours from 8:00 AM CST to 2 PM CST (Pkistan time 6 PM PST - Mid Night)
- Must have good working comptuter
- Good reliabe internet connection and backup power
- Must be Energetic, quick lerner and detail orianted
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must have excellenent computer skills
- Multi-tasking and being detail oriented is a must.
- Obtaining insurance authorizations, PCP referrals, etc.
- Reviewing physician schedules for insurance information.
- Entering patient demographics
- Contact physician offices to gather missing information.
- Confirming eligibility and verifying specific benefit coverage
- Excellent phone skills and 1-3 years of customer service experience
EXPERIENCE
- Experienced in electronic medical records software .
- Inusrance compaies portals like Avality etc
- Utilizes payor websites to get information on eligibility, EOBs, claim status, and on-line inquires. This includes Wellcare, Availity, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Wellcare, Tricare, United Healthcare, Amerigroup, Molina, and other payors.
- Familiarity of medical and insurance terminology.
- Must have good Communication Skills (English)
- Proficient in computer applications.
- One year experience in healthcare environment, with direct experience interpreting United States health insurance coverage and acting as a liaison relaying the coverage approvals and denials.
- Proficient work experience with Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
- Working knowledge of health insurance and medical terminology.
- Organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Follow up skills and demonstrable judgment to escalate issues to ensure respectful communication in conveying difficult coverage messages.
- Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and solve insurance issues.
- Empathy and patience in communicating approval or denial of insurance coverage.
SCHEDULE
- 6-8 hour shift USA TIME 8:00 AM CST to 2 PM CST (Pakistan time 6 PM PST - Mid Night)
- Monday to Friday
- Work Remotely: YES from home
