- BS or 16-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or similar relevant field
- 5+years of experience as a PHP / Laravel developer
- In-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel PHP Framework
- HTML 5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax
- Exposure in JS Frameworks: Vue.js, Angular.js, React.js, Redux, Node.js is a big plus
- Hands-on experience with SQL schema design, query optimization.
- Can manage big data analysis and optimization of clustered data and enhance software performance using custom load balancer techniques
- Develop RESTful APIs, leveraging Open API specifications, API Gateway for runtime governance and security of Microservices
- Software testing (PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Behat)
- Creative and efficient problem solver
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Understanding of MVC design patterns and best practices
- Must write efficient code with documentation
- Must be a problem solver and analytical thinker.
Role and Responsibilities
- Write Laravel code based on functional specification and technical design. Adhere to architectural standards and develop designs that consider impact with other aspects of the database and appropriately leverage existing code.
- Drive optimal solution design collaborating with architects and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications
- Independently analyze and resolve production problems, assessing alternatives as appropriate, and implementing long-term solutions.
- Perform code reviews, identify potential issues to reduce technical debt and provide coding best practice recommendations.
- Evaluating emerging technologies, open-source libraries and providing recommendations.
- Build algorithms and design experiments to merge, manage, interrogate and extract data to supply tailored reports to colleagues, customers, or the wider organization.
- Assess the effectiveness of data sources and data-gathering techniques and improve data collection methods.
- Integration with various monitoring backend tools.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Laravel web frameworks
- Vue, React Js, Redux, node
- Laravel Vapor, Centos live code using ssh, Docker, AWS s3 bucket
- Solid database skills in a relational database (i.e. MongoDB, MySQL, etc)
- AWS, git version control using github bitbucket and gitlab
- Stay curious and enthusiastic about using algorithms to solve problems.
