We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Supply Chain Planning team at Daraz. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting analytical frameworks within the supply chain department while contributing to financial modeling efforts for Daraz’s ventures. You will gain hands-on experience in financial modeling, warehousing, and operational performance in the e-commerce sector. The position involves collaborating on special projects across all five countries where Daraz operates, offering exposure to innovative practices and the chance to make a meaningful impact on business outcomes. Reporting to the Regional Performance Lead - Supply Chain Planning, you will be part of a regional team dedicated to driving data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, Tableau, and Power BI to fulfill the analytical requirements of the role.
- Prepare and clean data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency by addressing missing data, removing duplicates, and resolving inconsistencies.
- Apply statistical methods, algorithms, and data visualization techniques to analyze data and extract actionable insights, including descriptive and inferential statistics as well as machine learning algorithms.
- Interpret data analysis results and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and visualizations.
- Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data to address specific business challenges and research questions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business domain owners, data analysts from related departments, and managers, to support decision-making and achieve organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from a reputable institution; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an analytical or data-driven role with hands-on expertise in SQL.
- Strong knowledge of financial forecasting and model development is advantageous.
- Proven understanding of the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python is essential.
- Comfortable using business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Highly organized and self-disciplined, with the ability to manage multiple projects using a structured and prioritized approach.
- Data-driven mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills combined with a problem-solving attitude.
- Proficiency in G-Suite applications.
