The Sustainability Digitization Manager will play a vital role in advancing BAT’s sustainability digitalization agenda by managing data-driven initiatives that improve ESG reporting, generate actionable insights, and support effective decision-making across operations. This position focuses on integrating third-party systems related to emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3), water, waste, and circular economy metrics. The role requires close collaboration across functions to enhance data quality, governance, and reporting efficiency. Reporting to the Sustainability Digitization Program Manager, this position operates on a global scale with no travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the integration and ongoing operation of BAT’s digital sustainability tools, ensuring smooth functionality across various systems.
- Lead third-party product development activities, including gathering requirements, preparing documentation, conducting unit testing, and overseeing user acceptance testing.
- Develop interim analytics solutions such as models, dashboards, and Excel-based tools to address system gaps and accelerate insight generation.
- Coordinate improvements in data lineage, definitions, and documentation to strengthen governance and audit readiness.
- Extract and analyze business insights from sustainability data covering emissions, water usage, waste management, and circular economy metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and optimizing processes in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Enhance internal digital literacy and ESG data knowledge through training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in sustainability data management, analytics, or digitalization within a corporate setting.
- Strong understanding of business systems operations, including ERP, CRM, and ESG platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets with a focus on data quality, integrity, and consistency.
- Proficiency in data visualization and dashboard tools; basic knowledge of SQL and Python is desirable.
- Experience working with stakeholders to translate technical data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic familiarity with environmental reporting frameworks such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Global Reporting Initiative, CDP, DEFRA, and EIA.
- Relevant academic background in Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Sustainability Analytics.
- Membership or qualification from a professional environmental body is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
